From our Designers Collection Notes
“this season its about getting brighter, but not too chemical/ punky just yet, so I did a few electric and lollipop-ish colours on the technical fabrics using rubber finished silks and a lot of new coarse weaves that gave my pallet a deeper two tone twisted look.
I added a bit of Peckham ink and created the Rye collection of 50’s tattys, from the rock- a- billy days which is a look that’s goi-ng to emerge over the next seasons.
The skinny tie stays and at 6cms is just right - any less and you loose the total design effect.. this collections image is about unde-rstated elegance.
On the scarf front I’m still into our polkadot cockney chokers, they look the part, adding a bit of colour, again not the mad stuff, as I want them to work with a lot of the knitwear and shirt colourings, toning and complimenting rather than arguing - tucking them under the shirt with the collars up, keeping it in sight but not in your way, or making it into a big bow for that dandy look..."
